Security Architect, FDIC
Angel Rivera is a Security Architect with the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation. In this capacity he supports the information security needs of the Agency as a whole as well as the Legal Division, where he has been focusing on Outsourced Service Providers that provide services in the cloud, services like e-discovery services. In this capacity he has reviewed several FEDRAMP packages of CSPs with JAB Provisional Authorizations as well as CSPs with Agency FEDRAMP Authorization. Prior to the FDIC Mr. Rivera worked for nine years for the MITRE Corporation, a Federally Funded Research and Development Center, where he worked with over 20 different government agencies, assessing their information security needs. Mr. Rivera is a recognized SME in Information Security with more than 30 years of experience in the field.
Mr. Rivera holds several undergraduate degrees including marketing and data processing and he holds a master degree in Communication Technologies. He is a Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP) and is frequently invited to teach multiple topics to prepare students for CISSP certification exams.
